TESTING,
ADJUSTING AND BALANCING
During this two-year program
journeypersons learn how to check and adjust mechanical systems to meet
the objectives of the design engineer for comfort and economy. This
includes: balancing the distribution of air and water; adjusting
the system to meet design quantities; and verifying the performance
of all equipment and automatic controls. This course consists of 42 classes
with the hands-on portion done in our lab. This lab is one of the best
in the country and is used to promote and qualify TAB Technicians for certification
by International Training Institute and the National Energy Management
Institute. |

 |
WELDING
This course provides both
the theory and practical skills needed to perform vital welding skills.
Instruction takes place in the classroom and our welding shop on all-position
welding. Each of our inspectors holds a Certified Welding inspectors
certificate under the A.W.S. QC-1 program. Training programs include:
The International Training Institute
and the American Welding Society along with Hartford Steam Boiler has established
our Training Center as an Accreditation Test Facility which can provide
certification to qualified welders. |

EARNING
A DEGREE
Journeypersons can also
use courses at the Training Center to expand their education and fulfill
dreams of earning a college degree through the Collegiate Consortium which
consists of Drexel University and four Communities Colleges which are Camden
County, Bucks County, Philadelphia Community College and Delaware County
Community. Apprentices that graduate from the program can receive up to
29 transferable college credits. Journeypersons and apprentices have the |

to receive an Associates Degree in Construction Technologies from the Community
Colleges or continue their education and earn a Bachelors Degree at Drexel
University. |
